The iU891A-XL is a compact and cost-effective USB stick based on the iM891A-XL long-range radio module, operating in the unlicensed 868 MHz band. It supports all major unidirectional and bidirectional wireless M-Bus modes (S, C, T, and combined C/T) with packet formats A and B, as well as OMS security modes 5 and 7.
With a built-in +22 dBm power amplifier and -149 dBm sensitivity, it achieves an impressive link budget of around 170 dB. This makes the iU891A-XL ideal for smart metering applications, connecting water, heat, electricity, and gas meters to data concentrators.
The external antenna ensures excellent performance even in challenging RF environments.
Antenna not included. An SMA antenna is required for operation.
